Refund Policy

At NameSnag, we want you to be completely satisfied with your subscription. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds may be issued.

7-Day Free Trial

All new subscriptions include a 7-day free trial period. During this trial, you have full access to your chosen plan's features without being charged. You may cancel at any time during the trial period without incurring any charges.

If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your payment method will be automatically charged for your first billing cycle.

Refund Eligibility

We offer refunds under the following circumstances:

  • First Payment Only: Refunds are available only for your first paid subscription charge (after the trial period). Subsequent renewals are not eligible for refunds.
  • 30-Day Window: Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of your first payment being charged.
  • Technical Issues: If you experience significant technical problems that prevent you from using the service, and our support team is unable to resolve them within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Billing Errors: If you were charged incorrectly due to a system error or duplicate billing.

Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Subscription renewals (monthly or annual)
  • Partial subscription periods (we do not offer pro-rated refunds)
  • Canceled subscriptions where you continue to have access until the end of your paid period
  • API usage overages or additional service charges
  • Accounts terminated due to Terms of Service violations

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact our support team at hello@namesnag.com with the following information:

  • Your account email address
  • The date of the charge you're requesting a refund for
  • A brief explanation of why you're requesting the refund

We will review your request and respond within 2-3 business days. If approved, refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days and will be credited to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. When you cancel:

  • You will continue to have access to your subscription features until the end of your current billing period
  • You will not be charged for subsequent billing cycles
  • Your account will automatically downgrade to the free tier at the end of your paid period
  • No refunds will be issued for the unused portion of your current billing period

Plan Downgrades

If you downgrade from a higher-tier plan (e.g., Elite to Pro, or Pro to Scout), the change will take effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds or credits will be issued for the difference in plan pricing.

Exceptions

NameSnag reserves the right to make exceptions to this refund policy on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion. Any such exceptions will not set a precedent for future refund requests.

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of NameSnag after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
